Positive: The accomodation is a great renovation of an older house - they have done a great job inside, outside is very unassuming and very suburban. inside though - modern and super clean and everything you could need for your stay was really cold in waikanae but the heating options in the house for day and night were great having the second toilet was great with the family off street parking was good communication was good - and an emergency contact available if needed.
Negative: underestimated there being steps - was in a photo but didn’t notice it in the picture or the description - but was very challenging for one of our family members. Others may not have an issue with them. was a bit further from everything than expected - but realistically a short drive to bakery / dairy / takeaways etc; didn’t get to the beach unfortunately but expect would be @ 5 minute walk. There was a shortage of properties with the school holidays so prices may have been impacted but I felt given location and nature of the home - it was priced a bit higher than it should have been.
Summary: Has all you need for a local base for wee break away.
